Challenge
Goods receipts, stock movements and production batches were recorded in paper registers and separate spreadsheets. Management had no single view of what material had arrived, what was in stock and what each machine had produced.
Solution
- Built simple data-entry forms in Google Apps Script so stores and production staff could record receipts, issues and batches at the source
- Standardised item and machine codes so every entry linked to one master list
- Designed a data model combining receipts, stock, batches and machine output
- Delivered an eight-page Power BI suite for stores, production and management
Results
- More than 300 GRN lines and over 200 SKUs tracked in one place
- Stores and production reporting from one source of truth instead of registers
- Receipts, stock and production output available to management in Power BI
